Rise early for a spectacular sunrise cruise on the mighty Zambezi River, meandering through islands and sailing close to the banks to spot the abundant wildlife. Then it's time to discover one of the world's most awe-inspiring sights - Most-oa-Tunya, 'the Smoke that Thunders' or Victoria Falls. A whopping 1,708 metres across with a 90 to 107 metre drop into the Zambezi Gorge, the falls have been mesmerising travellers with its sheer power and beauty for centuries. Spend the afternoon exploring it from all angles.
Transfer to the airport and board a flight to Cape Town, South Africa's 'Mother City'. On arrival, transfer to your hotel. Later, dinner will be at the vibrant Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.
A city that weaves together natural beauty, rich history and a diverse mix of cultures, Cape Town is an adventure! After time for a look around the V&A Waterfront and lunch, visit Greenmarket Square and the Castle of Good Hope, Company Gardens and the colourful Bo-Kaap neighbourhood. Then, ascend Cape Town's most iconic landmark, Table Mountain via the cableway for amazing views over the city, along the coast and out to sea. Tonight, dine at famous restaurant Gold for a taste of typical African foods from across the continent.
After breakfast you will be met by an English-speaking guide and transferred to Cape Town's cruise terminal, to board your cruise. The rest of the day is free to explore the ship's facilities and settle in. Throughout your cruise, when your ship comes into port, there will be a range of excursions available to help you explore each destination.
