Seoraksan, or Mt. Seorak, is in the northern portion of the Taebaek Mountain Range, located in the northeast corner of South Korea. It is the third highest mountain in South Korea and is considered by many to be its most beautiful.
Mt Seorak National Park is a spectacularly scenic area of high peaks (28 to be precise) and craggy bluffs. With its fantastic array of rock towers, waterfalls, and fragrant pine forests, Seoraksan is popular mountain in South Korea and a year-round attraction from hiking in the summer to the colourful foliage in the autumn as the leave change their colour.
Designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Seoraksan is also a habitat for many rare species of plants and animals.
