This morning, transfer to the Gubeikou section of the Great Wall, less visited than other parts of the Wall. From here, start your hike to the Jinshanling section. You will be walking for 5 to 6 hours over a distance of 10 km. Gubeikou is a rough and wild section of the Great Wall, while Jinshanling is known for its beautiful brickwork and watchtowers. The walk intersects a military base so you will divert and rejoin the Wall at Jinshanling and continue east. Overnight in a simple yet charming courtyard hotel at the foot of the Wall.
Continue hiking 8km (approx 5 hours) through Jinshanling to the East Five-Eye Tower, offering views of the Simatai section. After lunch, transfer to Wohushan and hike a remote, lesser-known 2-hour stretch of the Wall along dramatic ridgelines. Later, journey to Xizhazi Village at the base of Jiankou, and enjoy a home-cooked meal and warm hospitality at a family-run guesthouse.
Trek 10km (4–5 hours) through the wild and photogenic Jiankou section, known for its steep inclines and stunning views. After lunch, descend onto the restored Mutianyu section, where the Wall's original grandeur is beautifully preserved. Return to Beijing in the late afternoon for a well-earned rest.
Transfer from your hotel to Beijing Capital Airport or Beijing Railway Station for your onward journey. Late check-out is not included. Additional transfer supplement applicable if departing from Beijing Daxing airport.
