Special Festive Experiences on Christmas in Turkey
You’ll explore the landmarks of enchanting Istanbul before visiting the
Gallipoli Peninsula then step back in time to discover the fabled histories of three ancient cities – Troy, Pergamon and
Ephesus.
Christmas is spent among the extraordinary landscapes of Cappadocia, in all its wintry glory. Spend Christmas Eve night marvelling at the Whirling Dervishes in the beautiful setting of Saruhan Caravanserai before waking up early on Christmas Day for a magical hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia’s incredible rock formations (optional, payable locally). Later in the morning, you’ll head out on a walking tour of Goreme’s UNESCO-listed, rock-hewn churches, some of the earliest Christian churches in the world. The day is rounded off with a Turkish-style Christmas dinner. On Boxing Day, enjoy lunch with a local family in their traditional village home.
