India

Celebrating 25 Years of tour excellence

The Brahmaputra River is one of India’s best-kept secrets – and often overlooked by visitors.

This incredible river spans around 2,900km and flows through Tibet, India and Bangladesh (it has a different name in each country it flows through!). It’s also among the few major rivers in the world that flows both eastward and westward.

As the Brahmaputra passes through India, the river splits into two channels along its lower reaches, forming the world’s largest river island, Majuli – where you’ll disembark on your cruise to visit ethnic Mishing People.

As you sail this fascinating river, you’ll witness and experience the real India. Voyage through an amazing array of landscapes from tea plantations and forests to pebbled shores and wildlife havens. Along the way, you'll explore riverside villages, meet the tribal people that love there as you learn about life along the river, explore country towns via rickshaw and visit a UNESCO-listed national park in search of the greater one-horned rhino!
