From your hotel in Osaka, transfer to Shin Osaka station and board a bullet train to Hiroshima. Meet your guide and explore the city using public transport, starting at the poignant Peace Memorial Park. This leafy and peaceful expanse is full of beautiful memorials to those who died after the atomic bombing of 1945. Continue to the Peace Memorial Museum, followed by a visit to the local favourite okonomiyaki for lunch before visiting the historical Shukkeien Garden.
Travel to the holy island of Miyajima by local train and ferry with your guide. Enjoy a walking tour of this peaceful island, wandering along the waterfront and shopping street to reach Itsukushima Shrine. The shrine is best known for its enormous vermilion torii gate, which stands in the waters of the Seto Inland Sea. Next, take the ferry back to Hiroshima and travel independently by bullet train to Osaka.
