Start your journey to Koya-san by public transportation and take a walking tour of Koya-San before exploring the 16th century Kongobuji Temple. This afternoon, admire the birthplace of Shingon Buddhism through a visit to Garan Temple complex and transfer to Okunoin, home to Kobo Daisha's mausoleum, the founder of Shingon Buddhism. Tonight you will stay overnight in a 13th century temple in a traditional tatami room.
Rise early this morning to join the monks in their daily morning prayers before a traditional breakfast. After breakfast, transfer back to Osaka by public transportation.
