Upon arrival at Iquitos airport, you will be met and transferred to your Amazon cruise boat. (L, D)
Begin with a trip to Fundo Casual, where we'll find a trailhead that takes you into the depths of the jungle. Your guide will point out all the creatures you can see. Later, cross through the Yanayacu and Pucate rivers, into one of the best preserved areas of the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve. (B, L, D)
Board the skiffs and start the day exploring along the Samiria River, where an abundance of wildlife hides in the deep rainforest. Don't forget to keep an eye out for pink river dolphins! Continue to Naura Cano Creek. This is another great place for wildlife spotting and you can also go fishing for the famous piranha! (B, L, D)
In the morning we'll visit the community of San Francisco, from here we will take a short skiff ride and jungle walk to meet local villagers who have called the Amazon their home for generations. (B, L, D)
Visit the lovely Manatee Rescue Centre to see the residents and learn how they are rehabilitated. Continue to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
