From beginning to end the tour was fantastic as was the pre- tour doucmentation, service etc, The tour guide (George Pu) was exceptional in ensuring everything ran smoothly eg getting on and off, trains, boats and planes with all our luggage, booked seats and picnic lunches (which were all delicious and of a verey high standard) I would describe the tour as and experiince or rather a range of interesting and diverse experiences. George read the group well and adapted the plans etc appropriately to the circumstances. We were offered the best opportunity to see the old and new China. The hotels were of a very good standard and the meals were all superb - all on tables of 8 (there were 16 of us), all Chinese, giving us an opportunity to experince a range of local cuisines. An added plus was a very nice group of fellow travellers. Hence it was great fual

Met all our expectations in touring the country and seeing a wide range of animals in their local habitat. Small group (17), excellent tour manager and local guides, very knowledgeable, good transport, ate very well at different restaurants, great local dishes. Although very humid a good time to see Borneo.

Kinabalu Park Trails Good.

Fly to Sandakan. Got up at 3.00am to visit Sandakan Memorial Park to see the remains of an old boiler. Went to a church that was closed. Went up loads of steps to see a monument of William Pryer. Very enjoyable English meal at a very good location.

Sepilok Orangutan Rehab Centre. Superb day.

Kinabatangan River Explorations. Superb day.

Return to Kota Kinabalu. Good day.

To summarise.

Too much moving and packing and returning to same place.

Palace Hotel in the middle of nowhere. We had a lovely last evening meal a bus ride away. It would have been better staying in that area.

We were lucky enough to see orangutans, pygmy elephants, snow bears, proboscis monkeys and crocodiles.

We stayed at some very good locations.

Finally and very importantly our guides Selvam & Wayne were the best you could have asked for. They were very knowledgeable extremely kind and helpful.

Will be attending your meeting on the 28 at little Ashton where we will be representing our group.

Excellent mix of culture and amazing wildlife locations with a first class knowledgeable and experienced guide. Yet another strong trip from Wendy Wu.

Just returned from Borneo with Wendy Wu Tours, the guide Selvan was amazing, educated, caring, professional, friendly - goes above and beyond.  You are so lucky to have such a person acting on your behalf in Borneo.  I had to write and tell you. He is a credit to his home to Malaysia to himself to his family to Borneo and to Wendy Wu Tours.

Very informative sales dept and were able to confirm a tour for April 2024 and offered a discount as we have travelled with the company twice before.
