Excellent holiday, very impressed with China. Susan our guide was wonderful. The food was terrific. The trip is go go go throughout so we feel quite exhausted afterwards. I don’t recommend Air China so in retrospect I would want to fly with another airline. However it was a direct flight and most others are indirect.
River cruise ship was nice but it didn’t start sailing till the second day of boarding so it’s really a three day cruise with four nights on board.

Extremely well managed and excellent value for money considering the vast range of activities included. Local guides exceptionally good, caring and knowledgeable. Hotels were of a very good standard and the food was decent. All aspects of the trip were well communicated. I would hesitate to recommend Wendy Wu’s Glories of China.

We had a great holiday which more than lived up to our expectations. All the guides were excellent and very knowledgeable. In particularly our national guide Linda who fully supported the whole group.

Easy to book and amend (as unfortunately we had to). Trip details very accurate and helpful to have the walking guide.
The tour was exceptionally well run. Local guides were all knowledgeable & engaging. Our tour guid "Amanda" was fantastic, so patient and knowledgeable.

Nice hotels - breakfast was buffet in all hotels; chines restaurant banquet every lunch & dinner.

The sights were well picked, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, The Great Wall, Terracotta warriors, and Pandas before a relaxing recharge of the batteries on a Yankzee River cruise.

The Avatar mountains were very very wet - not much views but we did it all the same.
Some stops eg jade & silk factories & brewery were hard sales.
Shows were optional & some included.
This tour is full on, but fantastic and well planned.

This has been the most amazing trip we have ever been on. The trip is organised so well, and our tour guide Bruce was fantastic. He was with us for the whole two weeks and made it most enjoyable with his good sense of humour. It takes the stress out of a holiday when you don't have to worry about timings or getting around, we were free to enjoy the wonderful sights of China. We covered so much in the two weeks, and I loved the little experiences thrown in, such as tea tasting, the evening shows and the odd surprise entertainment at meal times. We would have never of experienced so much if we had arranged the trip independently. The food was excellent, and there was more than enough of it! We had plenty of opportunities to have free time to wonder, which was nice. We've never been on a group tour before, and we were lucky enough to be with a lovely bunch of people, which also made the trip special. Hotels were wonderful, so nice to come back to a modern, clean, fully equipped hotel at the end of a busy day of sightseeing. Wendy Wu was so helpful from booking and all the way through, absolute five-star service from them, highly recommend and will definitely use them again. Thank you Wendy Wu.

The holiday was well organised and our tour guild was very informative with good English and would always go that extra mile to help you. For myself it was too full on, we had very little free time in must of the places we stayed at apart from Shangai.

Amazing tour!! Had a fabulous tour guide called Michael, he really went the extra mile every single day! He was so kind and generous with his time, nothing was too much trouble and he was super organised! Saw some fantastic places and had in depth knowledge from the local guides who were also amazing! We were lucky to be part of such a lovely group, and had a wonderful time! 😊🇨🇳😊🇨🇳

Brilliant, the whole trip was amazing. Wendy Wu are able to fill each day to the max. Enabling us to see many of the wanderers of China.

We had a great time on this tour. It met all our expectations as described in the intinerary. We were a group of 23 aged from 22 to mid 70s and we all got along well. Loved having Jesse, a national guide, throughout the tour who was informative about China and who was calm and organised with the travel arrangements.

The food was good but I felt it was spiced down for western tastes, I would have preferred more authentic local flavours with more spice. The food around Beijing after a couple of days felt bland.

We always had a wide range of food dishes/ choices. So we had a small amount of many dishes. I would have preferred more of fewer dishes.

Enjoyed the optional tours, especially the Romance of Three Kingdoms show on the Yangtze River cruise - a must see show.

China is a huge country, so some travel times are long.

Loved Tibet. Be aware of the impact of high altitude.

Overall a great tour and would highly recommend.

We chose the Enchanting China tour for our first taste of China - to see some its most incredible sites and most interesting cities, but without too intense an itinerary and with some free time to explore on our own.

First of all, our national guide Frankie was an absolute superstar! He looked after us so well, made everything interesting and was very engaging and knowledgeable. His organisation of the group when getting on and off trains and buses, crossing busy roads and queuing at the busier sites, put everyone at ease so we could just enjoy it without the worry of working out where you needed to be and when. Frankie is so approachable and friendly, it really felt like having him with us throughout the trip was a big part of what made it so fun.

Also a special mention to the fact that he had pre-arranged with every restaurant we ate in as a group, for vegetarian dishes for my wife - having eaten out a few times by ourselves during the trip, we knew this wasn’t always easy to get right, so having Frankie sort it out was really appreciated. She had some amazing food - one of the highlights being a special vegetarian platter of beautifully presented, colourful dumplings after the Tang Dynasty show in Xian.

The local guides we had with us in each city also added an extra level of insight and detailed local knowledge, that helped us get the most out of each place we visited.

Each city offered something entirely different, and the Yangtze River cruise was a welcome relaxing few days to help break up the busy schedule - the service on the ship was also fantastic.

Overall we’d absolutely recommend the Enchanting China tour to anyone visiting China for the first time.

Everything from Wendy Wu in terms of communication, their booking of flights and transfers, and customer service was excellent - we would definitely go use them again for future trips.

Gems of China was a great way to visit and see all of China’s main experiences whilst getting a little insight into life in China. Hotels were of a really good standard and for the most part food was great (with the exception of a visit to an Irish Pub)
The National Guide was efficient and friendly and managed to keep control of our wonderful group of 26 people. The only criticisms are some lack of flexibility and hard selling at most of the experiences but guess this is China. The river cruise provided a relatively relaxing break in the middle of a full on itinerary and was an opportunity to really get to know the rest of the group. My highlights were the Great Wall and Shanghai - what an eye opener! Immaculate organisation from Wendy Woo as usual.

Great way to see China, However trip 3 days to long should have spent one more night in Guling then on to Shanghai for 3 nights food reasonable to start with ,poor towards the end of trip to many lazy Susans
not enough variety!! 3 meals a day not necessary breakfast and evening meal sufficient with more money being spent on the evening meal Quality

Brilliant holiday

Excellent holiday. Busy but well organised holiday. Saw all the things we wanted to. Sales pitches outweighed information at the silk, Jade and terracotta warrior outlets,. Shanghai hotel not ideally located, otherwise no complaints. Our tour leader CiCi was excellent.
