A truly incredible trip to China with Wendy Wu travelling from Beijing to Xi’an and Chengdu. A busy itinerary from early morning to evening with three fabulous local tour guides ensuring we made the most of their individual cities and everything on offer.
The Great Wall, the terracotta warriors, the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, mandarin ducks, acrobatic and Tang Dynasty shows and entertainment and of course two days seeing Pandas as well as sharing in with some of the local culture. I’m well travelled but this trip was an absolute highlight. Thank you

This was an excellent tour but don't agree with Wendy Wu stating quality hotels located centrally on website when you book only to find the last 5 nights in LAOS are not central. Either too far to walk or unsafe to walk. 3 nights in a hotel that did not provide western breakfast cold fried eggs and using a microwave to try and do toast. Last day we were free from breakfast until 18.30pm when we were being taken to airport and nothing to do and nowhere to go and out of our room by 12 noon. Guide did not give any suggestions. Waste of our time. When we arrived in LAOS was dropped at hotel at 14.00pm and told free time until 18.30pm no options of what we could do. If we wanted to travel independently would not be booking group tour. Too much free time in LAOS and wasted time that could have been spent more constructively. We don't expect to pay the money we did to Wendy Wu to find hotels costing £30 a night when hotels with facilities were centrally located for £70 abd were available. Wendy Wu has got too greedy since we went to China in 2016. Won't be using them again. Guides were saying the tipping money was too much they did not know what to spend it on. Wendy wu has lost the plot.

Very well organised tour, from being picked up at Cairo Airport to our departure from it (tour guide Isaac even came to the hotel at Cairo Airport at 4 am to take us to the terminal for the journey home). We felt entirely safe throughout the whole tour, not knowing what to expect, and the memories don't just include the amazing antiquities of Egypt but also seeing real life in Egypt as we ventured to Pyramids, Temples and Museums.

The air conditioned tour bus was always there for us, taking us to and from some amazing sights (and sites) which we will never forget. The hotels were very nice, but special praise for the cruise up the Nile. We didn't want to get off the boat and the staff were so nice - as was the food!

The tour guide throughout, Islam the Egyptologist, was excellent - extremely knowledgeable, good sense of humour, patient and always prepared to answer our questions. "Mashi Mashi".

Just don't know how it took us so long (years not travel time) to get to this amazing place. As with our excellent trip to China last year, Wendy Wu really deliver! We will be looking at their South East Asia offerings for next year.

Absolutely excellent. Addison was, along with the other city-specific tour guides, brilliant. The sheer amount of sites and scenery that we got to see, along with variety of food from so many different regions and the cultural activities we did were just great. One of the best holidays I have ever had.

Plenty to see in such a large country - this isn't just Beijing, Shanghai and Zian
Bullet trains fast,clean,punctual but no proper consideration for luggage storage,even worse than finding a space in a cabin bin on Easyjet
There is hardly any porterage which is a real pain with the frequent transfers between cities
Have plenty of Chinese currency -Visa and Mastercard pretty useless and Chinese apps unreliable
You won't want to see Chinese food for at least 6 months at home after facing nothing else for 3 weeks
Security oppressive - presented passport more in 3 weeks than in the previous 10 years
Tour manager needs to be really good as no one of note including hotel staff speak any English. I must say our tour manager Mark Wong was absolutely superb
The tourist group in this case worked well together with no problem participants
This was my 2nd time to China and I enjoyed this one much more than 2011
Terracotta warriors still highlight for me!

This really was a 'Magnificent' holiday. So much was packed into it and nothing was too much trouble for our tour guide, Betty, to make it as enjoyable as possible. We saw and and did such a great variety of things - well done to Wendy Wu Tours for putting together this great itinerary. It has been a really memorable holiday.

This was an excellent tour which covered a lot of ground in the space of just over a fortnight. Besides the impressiveness of the actual locations visited themselves, the trip was greatly enhanced by the quality of the national and local guides, who were able to convey a lot of information in a very clear, entertaining and often amusing way. In addition, the tour organisation was superb, the accommodation was very comfortable and of a high standard, and the meals provided were, almost without exception, delicious.

My trip to China was a very interesting experience.
I was impressed with the extraordinary history, culture and how advance the modern cities, the fast train, the roads and highways.
The trip was a real success because our excellent guide Betty. She was so aware of our security and needs. Besides her perfect English, her interesting anecdotes made our long bus journeys pleasant. Very grateful with her
The food was delicious and nice to go to local restaurants to see the real way of eating of Chinese people.
The fast train was amazing to ride. The train station so clean and organized
Impressed me the cleanliness and organization of the cities in general
The others guides and bus driver were very nice too, specially Tony in Beijing and Johnny in Datong etc…

Just returned from a brilliant tour. The itinerary was well designed, mixing historical, cultural, countryside and urban. A well balanced, if short, insight into China. Being a tour, some days were hard work but I can’t think of anything I would have wanted to leave out. The experience was full of surprises. One thing in particular was the friendliness of the local Chinese. I am not sure what I expected but when we were out and about, be it in a child’s playground, shopping mall, or historical site, they would happily interact with us. Within the language constraints we had some lovely conversations.
The national guide, David, was excellent. His organisation of the itinerary and his relationship with the tour members was exceptional.
Additional to the tour there were several optional events. Each of which was very enjoyable and enhanced the experience. For me the best one was Impression Sanjie Liu In Yangshuo
One observation that might be worth making concerns budgeting. Wedy Wu literature suggest between £300 and £400 pounds per person for spending. Generally correct but the cost of optional excursions does increase the spend. I would suggest £600 has being more appropriate.
To summarise, the tour was a fantastic experience. I would like to thank all those from Wendy Wu to contributed to its success.

A truly magical trip inside a magnificent country.
The trip from start, Beijing and finishing in Shanghai we covered vast distances ( quickly I my say) and saw a wonderful array of sights never to be forgotten.
This is ablely managed by Jason our magician of the tour guide , who is then further assisted by local guides you are extremely knowledgeable of their region to help you grasp the current region or historic issues and enhance your enjoyment, which they certainly did. Jason just makes all the various things that need to happen with the group, happen, he does professional behind a extremely well organised iternary and trip.

Excellent time in China, good itinerary, accommodation and travel arrangements covering many diverse areas of China. Our national guide, Jason, was first class. He went out of his way to ensure all arrangements were completely satisfactory for all the guests and ensured that all had a safe and fantastic trip.

A wonderful introduction to China with a great group of well travelled people. Our guide was helpful, informative and interesting and the tour was a good mixture of busy sightseeing days and more relaxed days on the Yangtze river where we could enjoy the beautiful scenery as well as the talks and entertainment on board. Everything was meticulously organised and we were given enough free time to explore on our own. I would thoroughly recommend this tour and can think of no negatives at all.
