Everything was organised and enjoyed all the hotels and restaurants.
All the tours, shows were amazing and especially loved the pandas and the Great Wall, well worth waking up early and leaving early.
Already looking for my next trip away!

A truly incredible trip to China with Wendy Wu travelling from Beijing to Xi’an and Chengdu. A busy itinerary from early morning to evening with three fabulous local tour guides ensuring we made the most of their individual cities and everything on offer.
The Great Wall, the terracotta warriors, the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, mandarin ducks, acrobatic and Tang Dynasty shows and entertainment and of course two days seeing Pandas as well as sharing in with some of the local culture. I’m well travelled but this trip was an absolute highlight. Thank you

Very good tour and would definitely recommend Wendy Wu tours. The local guides, Summer, Stephen and Penny were all exceptional.
It was great seeing the Great Wall, Terracotta Warriors and especially the Pandas! However, I would say that people need to be warned how steep the steps are on the Great Wall. Also, although we wanted to sample the local cuisine, twice a day every day was a bit much so maybe an evening or two where you could do your own thing might be a good idea. Otherwise it was a really good tour.

As a solo traveler, i was daunted by travelling on my own - I needn't have been. This was the best holiday I have had in a very long time. Wendy Wu ware very organized, answered my concerns prior to travelling and arranged the Chinese visa very quickly. The Flights were comfortable and it was great being met at the destination airport by Steven, the local tour guide. The standard of the hotels was high ( at least 5*). The tour activities were amazing (Tiananman Sq, Forbidden City, Great Wall, Terracotta Warriors, Bullet train, Pandas... to name a few). We had plenty of time to explore the areas, but be warned, you are on your feet a lot (so well worth it though). The food was good, albeit sometimes a little repetitive and vegetarians are well catered for. I do have to say the Tour Director, Summer and the local Guides were brilliant and really made the holiday special. I highly recommend Wendy Wu. Im now booking my next trip with them. Thank you.

This is a really intense holiday - very little time for r&r - but what you see is incredible! Our tour guide, Betty, was fantastic and the food was incredible. I honestly can’t gush enough about this holiday. And seeing pandas on two consecutive days was just a dream…

Excellent tour with knowledgeable and helpful guides. Fantastic accommodation throughout and delicious meals. This tour involves a significant amount of walking so wear comfy footwear.

Booking was very efficient and sound advice was given. Air China was amazingly good considering I had read some fairly bad accounts of their services.
Hotels we stayed in were of a good quality.
Internal flight and Bullet train were excellent.

Local guides very informative and with good English. Fin in Chendu had excellent English. Sites amazing as expected.


None of this would have held together without our national guide, Ivan, who was outstanding. Dealing with the language, regulations, airport and train stations would have been a nightmare without him. He was amazingly calm, well organised, kind and efficient. How he didn't lose some of us in the Forbidden City I will never know.

The whole tour from the moment we were met in China by our National Guide, Ivan, was first class, giving us a truly wonderful holiday. Highly recommend Wendy Woo for China.

The whole experience was first class thanks to our National Guide, Ivan, and the team of local guides who helped us to make the most of a short tour. It was full of wonders such as the Great Wall, the Terracotta Warriors, the pandas, palaces, parks, gardens etc plus great food, shows and a great bunch of travelling companions.

Jason Gao (National guide) was amazing and local Guide Susan in Chengdu and Andy in Beijing were good/

Product :

Hotels at Beijing and Xi'an were good, especially the Boffo L in Xi'an (which we believe was brand new to Wend Wu Tours). Hotel in Chengdu was disappointing - staff did not speak much English, not very helpful, room was disappointing.

Our tour with Wendy Wu Tours was EXCELLLENT. The tour of China to visit Pandas was VERY GOODthroughout from airport arrival till departure. The tour reps were all very knowledgeable and couldn't do enough for you both as a group and individual.

We purchased through a tour operator but the Wendy Wu base in London was very good and was able ton secure for us Business Class seats therre and back through Air China (Excellent Flight). They also helped me with the Visa's as well which I thoght was very good as it could have been a mine feild.

Very well organised with helpful and knowledgeable guides, Rita was excellent, coping well with the unexpected. Highlights were the pandas and Panda base was free from the usual crowds.

Everything was really good and the guide was amazing but a few of us would have liked more time being part of the day to day culture - markets, tea rooms to just sit in the park for a while.
