We saw a great deal of what China had to offer. All the travel arrangements worked well from the cruise to the trains to the buses. Our guide Michael Zeng was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Hotels were ok.

We recently completed the Majestic Yangtze tour and can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The entire trip exceeded our expectations and was very well organised.

A special mention must go to George Pu, who truly went above and beyond. He delivered outstanding service to the whole group while also making each person feel individually valued and cared for. His attention to detail, warmth, and professionalism made a real difference. Despite the structured and sometimes demanding itinerary, everything ran smoothly and felt effortless thanks to him.

Sally in Xi’an was equally impressive, genuinely warm, attentive, and always ensuring everyone was having a great time. Her dedication did not go unnoticed.

We would also like to thank Grace in Shanghai, Cherry in Chengdu during the panda visit, and Jack in Beijing, who was extremely knowledgeable and clearly passionate about his work.

Overall, this was a memorable and very enjoyable trip. Having such a strong team of guides makes a real difference, and we would definitely consider travelling with this company again in the future.

The tour was exactly as described. It's full on but we were looked after by our Wendy Woo courier Goerge and nothing was too much trouble. We certainly had the opportunity to try the local cuisine. With a good variety of dishes. The use of local guides did ensure we could have more specific information on the places we visited

Our Majestic Yangtze tour was awesome, and packed a great deal into a short space of time (2 weeks).

We did all the must see and must do activities in China such as visiting Shanghai, travelling by bullet train, cruising on the Yangtze River, seeing the Chengdu Pandas and Xian Terracotta Warriors up close and of course walking the Great Chinese Wall early in the morning with beautiful blue skies above.

In addition, on one of the optional tours, we visited the Tribe of the Three Gorges. The scenery was spectacular, the tribe guide, costumes, ships, monkeys and crying marriage show were spectacular, such a memorable highlight for us.

all of our party seemed to have different flight arrangements. It would have been nice to have direct flights and some options

Just returned from a fantastic 2 week Wendy Wu tour of China. Visited Shanghai, Chengdu, Xi'an & Beijing with a wonderful 4 night Yangtze River cruise. Saw the terracotta warriors, pandas, Great Wall of China, Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Three Gorges Dam, Summer Palace & so much more. So much culture & history fused with ultra modern architecture and technology, and the Chinese people were a delight. Accompanied by national and local tour guides throughout the whole tour and they were all amazing - so friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. They all spoke really good English. Big shout out to Eileen Liu our national guide who helped to make our holiday perfect! Hotels were excellent standard as was the cruise ship. Food was plentiful and varied (although understandably mainly Chinese). Wendy Wu is a great tour company who looked after us every step of the way from the moment we booked until we had checked in for our return flight home. Everything ran like clockwork and we were so lucky to be in a group of 20 lovely people, and we had such an enjoyable time. It was truly an incredible experience and a holiday we will never forget. We would not hesitate to travel with Wendy Wu again and would recommend them to anyone wishing to book an escorted tour to China and beyond. Thank you Wendy Wu for our holiday of a lifetime!

It was a lovely route and we only have two
complaints:

1. The meals were all the same and only once were we few offered any type of fruit dessert, which would have been nice and appreciated after every meal. It certainly isn’t expensive there so I can’t understand why we only had the Chinese food.

2. Some excursions were dragged out, particularly the ones with sales targets attached! We would very much like to see some of the trips being less sales orientated and allocating this saved time and offering down time to have a little break from the group and to explore/decide for oneself !

Our tour was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived at the airport, we felt safe and well looked after. Accommodation was beyond expectation, all food was outstanding and our guide was wonderful- ensuring a group of strangers quickly became good friends. Each aspect of our fantastic tour was well organised and, based on our experiences, we wouldn’t hesitate to plan a holiday with Wendy Wu again.

Everything about the tour was excellent, the tour guide Amanda was better than excellent, everything was well organised and punctual. All in all everything was first class - except the flights.

We flew from the UK with Air China, the way they operate international flights is to load the passengers onto the plane and when the cabin doors are closed they then start loading the luggage and cargo, the result is that the first two hours in the plane is on the ground with only a sip of water being served (no alchohol on Air China flights).

In our case the outward flight to Beijing was late arriving so the baggage was not transfered to the connecting flight and was missing when we arrived in Shanghai, no clothes or toiletries . The return was exactly the same, two hours late arriving at LHR. We wondered why the flights were full of Chines students and no westerners! Air China - never again.
