Overall this was enjoyable holiday but not worth the price paid. It was an all inclusive holiday which included hotels, excursions, travel and food (3 meals a day).

Started off in Cambodia which was lovely. The tour guide and bus driver were great, very attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. Excursions such as Angkor Wat were amazing. Food was of a good standard as were the facilities we were taken to during our trips and the hotel was clean and the service was very good.

Travel in between places was mostly by coach which was comfortable enough and air conditioned. There were supposed to be more flights but for some reason only 1 internal flight was taken.

Mekong River cruise was good overall although probably not worth paying extra for the upper deck. Excursions and local tour guide were very good.

Vietnam was OK although the tour guide wasn't as attentive, helpful and didn't keep the group together on tours and seemed to care more about moving on when other groups were waiting for each point of interest rather then providing our group with a decent amount of info.
Hotels in Vietnam were satisfactory on the whole except for Rice Fields which was very poor to say the least. Dirty, damp, bug ridden, had no hot water and not well maintained. Food and service was awful and certainly not the minimum 4 star accommodation we'd paid for. I had complained immediately to Wendy Wu but heard nothing until I followed it up twice when I returned home. We received a credit towards our next holiday which was poor compensation or rather no compensation unless we take another holiday with WW! I was incorrectly lead to believe Wendy Wu had very good customer service.

Food provided throughout the holiday was of a good quality but lunch and dinners were very samey and got very boring. There was little opportunity to choose from a menu other than on 1 occasion and thankfully on the last day when only breakfast was included.

There was limited free time, so shopping had to be squeezed in. Cambodia was very good value for money in comparison to Vietnam who add a 'tourist' tax on everything and most goods are also imported from China.

We spent 4 Nights on the Mekong Victoria and it was fabulous. Everything from the decor, to the food and the wonderful staff was 5*. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vietnam and/or Cambodia. It is the best way to travel between the two countries and an experience not to be missed.

Was a well thought out tour.
Vietnam program was good with the accommodation in most cases being on par.
Tour guide was excellent.
The only problem was that there were people on the tour that were not up to a level three tour.
The bicycles were very primitive and brakes were faulty.
Cambodia was great with the guide doing a great job at imparting his knowledge about them.

Went with Wendy Wu Tours as we had been with this company before to China. The holiday was simply excellent. Having got back home people say "How was your holiday ?" .... It's difficult to sum it up in one sentence. It was everything I hoped it would be and then some !! The people with us on the tour were great the guides in both Cambodia and Vietnam were superb it's tricky to fault it to be fair. If you want to see Indo China then book up and go to these two countries. If you don't enjoy it then take a long hard look at yourself...

This was an excellent tour with a brilliant guide. Everything ran like clockwork. My one criticism would be that we did not get a city tour of Saigon, but apart from that, no complaints.

Despite dodging the worst cyclones for decades this was a magnificent holiday with an outstanding guide.
This was our second holiday with Wendy Wu and we were certainly not disappointed.
Great holiday itinerary with outstanding sights and experiences. When the weather turned against us our guide, with help from a hard working back office, took everything in his stride changing the itinerary cancelling/booking hotels and restaurants.

I have been in a holiday in Cambodia and Vietnam through Wendy Wu at the beginning of Ocyober. It was an amazing holiday and both local guides: Tai in Cambodia and Thiep in Vietnam have been very knowledgeable and helpful. Everything was taken care of, from transport, visiting various places to hotel rooms and meals.

The trip was one in a lifetime as we visited so many places, learnt about the local culture and history. What I liked the most was doing activities with local people and learning about their life. Food was good maybe too much, especially in the evening.
Overall a fabulous trip!

Great tour. Very busy but well organised. Had great tour guides in Vietnam and Cambodia.
Both countries are full of amazing history, buildings and most importantly people. Very welcoming.

What a fantastic trip. Every day brought new experiences in two fabulous countries. From boat trips in Ha Long bay and the Mekong Delta, cycling around paddy fields, hiking in the mountains and a Vespa ride around Ho Chi Minh City to wandering around Angkor Wat, BRILLIANT. Our guides in both countries were very knowledgeable, kind and helped the whole group in anyway they could.

Fantastic trip with everything being superbly organised. Excellent hotels and meals.
What really made it special was our guide, Ang, who was able to explain the context around why things happen in Vietnam, which added greatly to our understanding. He was an excellent guide, always available for us, really helpful and helped make the trip so memorable for myself and my wife.
I would recommend Wendy Wu for anyone thinking of visiting Vietnam.

The tour guide was fantastic. He had a wealth of knowledge, which he was eager to impart at the many diverse points of interest visited. The itinerary was full with just the right amount of free time. The hotels and meals provided were spot on, and it is a holiday I will remember with fondness for a very long time.

Wonderful holiday. Great guides, amazing food and excellent accommodation. Kim, our guide in Vietnam went over and beyond his role in creating the perfect insight into his country. The crew on the Victoria Mekong were just delightful and helpful, particularly in helping us oldies climb up the river bank! Sokly was equally efficient and knowledgeable in Cambodia. Halong Bay trip was disappointing. The beach we went to was surrounded by litter. One night would have been sufficient. Much better to have had three nights in Hoi An.
One criticism was the bad timings on the day we disembarked the boat in Halong Bay. Our flight from Hanoi was 8.00pm. We spent several hours hanging around at the airport. And the meal we had there was the worst one of the whole trip.
Loved the variety of activities which were organised for us and the efficiency of how everything went to plan. (Which is why the above day stood out).

Our guide Lacki was excellent. He was kind and thoughtful and very knowledgeable about the country. He looked after everyone so well

Good value for money

This holiday really lived up to its description in Wendy Wu's brochure. Cambodia was an unknown quantity for us prior to going there and we learned so much about its culture, national treasures and its people in the space of a few days thanks to our more than excellent guide. We particularly enjoyed our visits to Angkor Wat and the floating village at Chong Kneas. Vietnam was exceptionally interesting, with boat trips on the Mekong Delta, the Perfume River and Halong Bay. Visits to Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum and his dwelling places in Hanoi were fascinating as was seeing the French Quarter there. The area round the Citadel at Hue, the Citadel and the Royal Palace and purple City makes Hue a very special place. No trip to Vietnam would be complete without checking out the Cu Chi tunnels. There is not enough space here to describe all the main features of this trip which more than fulfilled our expectations
Travel, hotels, and ticketing arrangements all worked like clockwork and the guides could not have been better.

We saw everything that was interesting about Vietnam. We were fortunate to have been assigned a top notch experienced tour guide, Laky, who looked after us all (28 of us!) in an unflappable way with no fuss or bother. One of the best tour guides I have travelled with. A beautiful, warm, amazing country and as a first time visitor, I was over the moon with how lovely, smiley and friendly the Vietnamese people are generally. I loved every minute with tourists from Australia and New Zealand.
