Visit Tashkent with Wendy Wu Tours

Close

Tashkent is the capital city of Uzbekistan and has a history dating back to the 3rd century.

Tashkent is the largest city of Uzbekistan, as well as the most populated city in ex-Soviet Central Asia with a population of 3 million people. Much of the city was destroyed in the 1966 Tashkent earthquake, though it was rebuilt afterwards as a model Soviet city.

The city’s Silk Road heritage is retained in the museums and Chorsu Bazaar, while the modern city has interesting Soviet relics, statues and architecture.
