It was a very memorable holiday with two great guides, amazing countries, delicious food and lovely hotels ! Highly recommended

This was a very good holiday exploring Laos and Cambodia. Highlights were Laos Museum of Art, Vang Vieng. Ankor Wat and other temples and Kompat (the latter an alternative to Battambang due to border issues). It is sensible to have Laos as the first week as it does have a somewhat lower level of development / hotels than Cambodia.

An area to improve is the Laos travel from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang - using an early morning internal flight (from Vientiane) is really not great - please explore other options - rail / bus. There could be better hotel options in Vientiane and Luang Prabang - location not great and in LP little hot water / internet down).

This was a well paced excellent holiday. Hoi An could have done with another day for a bit more of a look around. Didn't get to see much of Ho-Chi Minh either. The visit to Chu-chi tunnels was good but because of traffic it takes up the entire day. The time on Hai-Long and the Mekong river cruise were both amazing and amount of time spot on (although finishing the cruise was a bit hard as it was so good). For me the highlight was Ankhor-Watt, again this could have had another day, primarily due to the weather as it is very hot after noon, so visiting the sights on a couple of mornings with other functions (or free time) would be good. Having said all of the above, it really is only feedback as this was a brilliant holiday. The guides particularly Tuan in Vietnam and Peaches in Cambodia were excellent. This is the third tour we have booked with Wendy Wu and there will likely be more. Thank you

Went to Cambodia and Vietnam with Wendy Wu Tours - our guide in Cambodia - Vutha Dam was so attentive and helpful - he went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience .

This tour was a wonderful adventure through Cambodia and Vietnam. So many new experiences very different to what we are accustomed to. The hotels and food were generally very good and our tour guides were very friendly and informative with everything running like clockwork. The 'historic' visits covering the Cambodian Killing Fields and the Vietnam War were covered in an informative and sensitive manner. The 'cultural' visits included an overnight stay on the amazing Halong Bay and a visit to the enchanting and relaxing Hoi An. We were impressed with Phnom Penh, more so than Saigon, although a highlight of the latter was dinner in the dark at the Noir Restaurant. And we didn't want the tuk-tuk and cyclo rides to end. The four day cruise down the Mekong was relaxing and included some interesting visits to observe life along the river. The boat itself was very nice.

All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our third Wendy Wu Tour (after China and Egypt) and would highly recommend.

Overall this was enjoyable holiday but not worth the price paid. It was an all inclusive holiday which included hotels, excursions, travel and food (3 meals a day).

Started off in Cambodia which was lovely. The tour guide and bus driver were great, very attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. Excursions such as Angkor Wat were amazing. Food was of a good standard as were the facilities we were taken to during our trips and the hotel was clean and the service was very good.

Travel in between places was mostly by coach which was comfortable enough and air conditioned. There were supposed to be more flights but for some reason only 1 internal flight was taken.

Mekong River cruise was good overall although probably not worth paying extra for the upper deck. Excursions and local tour guide were very good.

Vietnam was OK although the tour guide wasn't as attentive, helpful and didn't keep the group together on tours and seemed to care more about moving on when other groups were waiting for each point of interest rather then providing our group with a decent amount of info.
Hotels in Vietnam were satisfactory on the whole except for Rice Fields which was very poor to say the least. Dirty, damp, bug ridden, had no hot water and not well maintained. Food and service was awful and certainly not the minimum 4 star accommodation we'd paid for. I had complained immediately to Wendy Wu but heard nothing until I followed it up twice when I returned home. We received a credit towards our next holiday which was poor compensation or rather no compensation unless we take another holiday with WW! I was incorrectly lead to believe Wendy Wu had very good customer service.

Food provided throughout the holiday was of a good quality but lunch and dinners were very samey and got very boring. There was little opportunity to choose from a menu other than on 1 occasion and thankfully on the last day when only breakfast was included.

There was limited free time, so shopping had to be squeezed in. Cambodia was very good value for money in comparison to Vietnam who add a 'tourist' tax on everything and most goods are also imported from China.

The tour guides were outstanding both in Cambodia and Vietnam, Lot and Twon were very knowledgeable and kind, considerate and lovely individuals. The trip itself was flawless from beginning to end. I will definitely book with Wendy Wu again. X

The guides were of the highest standard with their knowledge and were only too pleased to give us the full history of the sights we visited.

I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone who is thinking of visiting Cambodia and Vietnam. It is good value as all meals and porterage tips are included as well as accommodation and excursions.

Was a well thought out tour.
Vietnam program was good with the accommodation in most cases being on par.
Tour guide was excellent.
The only problem was that there were people on the tour that were not up to a level three tour.
The bicycles were very primitive and brakes were faulty.
Cambodia was great with the guide doing a great job at imparting his knowledge about them.

Went with Wendy Wu Tours as we had been with this company before to China. The holiday was simply excellent. Having got back home people say "How was your holiday ?" .... It's difficult to sum it up in one sentence. It was everything I hoped it would be and then some !! The people with us on the tour were great the guides in both Cambodia and Vietnam were superb it's tricky to fault it to be fair. If you want to see Indo China then book up and go to these two countries. If you don't enjoy it then take a long hard look at yourself...

We have just returned from our Angkor to the Bay tour and we had a great time, it was 'full on' with very little down time, especially at the start of the tour and I wish we had arrived a couple of days before the start so that we could have acclimatised a bit.

We had a great group of people, 18 in total, and we all got on really well which obviously helped to make the holiday.
The organisation was excellent, for example when it came to checking in to the hotels the keys were all ready and waiting for us, and quite often our bags had already been deposited in our room.

The guides were both local and were very knowledgeable, the Cambodian guide could have done well to give us more time to explore on our own at some of the sites but that's being super picky! Also on the Cambodian tour I do think that missing out the Killing Fields was a shame. The visit to the Genocide Museum was hard and I imagine that the Killing Fields would have been an equally difficult experience but it did feel like an omission especially as they were referenced by the guide a number of times.

The internal flights were all efficient as was the transport in general throughout the tour. All the drivers were great.

The Vietnamese guide was lovely and he even added in a couple of things at our request, it was a privilege to be able to see how people live day to day in Vietnam.

We opted to go on the extra tour to the Golden Hand Bridge and we are so pleased that we did. I wasn't expecting it to be in a theme park but that just made the whole thing even more fun. We were there very early so it wasn't too crowded, and we all agreed that we could have stayed at the park for much longer. (NB there is an additional charge for this excursion).

The food was plentiful but almost every meal was a set menu which wasn't ideal. Often there was far too much and there was so much waste - lunch and dinner were generally 4 course set menus. As a vegetarian the menus didn't vary too much: vegetable spring rolls, soup, tofu in some form or other and then a fruit platter. I think at the start of the tour (in Cambodia) we had the pretty much the same thing for lunch and dinner on two or three consecutive days which was a bit disappointing. The restaurants were all very accommodating: we had some people with special dietary requirements (not just vegetarians) and the restaurants all managed to provide the appropriate food There were a couple of days where we had Italian food and on the boat trip there was a buffet which was very welcome. Our guide was concerned that there weren't enough vegetarian options at the buffet and he arranged for additional items to be prepared which was a lovely touch. The food throughout was lovely (with only one exception) but by the end of the holiday we all just wanted to be able to make our own selections!

We did eat out in restaurants most evenings which often meant a very quick turnaround after a full day of sightseeing.

We were lucky with the weather and missed the flooding and the typhoons so were able to visit every destination on the itinerary unlike some other tourists we spoke to.

It's so hard to pick out the highlights because there were so many. I ticked off a bucket list item with the cruise on Halong Bay. The Cu Chi tunnels were fascinating. Hoi An was one of my favourites, just so pretty and Hanoi was brilliant (crossing the road was an experience). Our guide wasn't allowed to take us to Train Street but we found it ourselves and it's another must see.

In Cambodia Angkor Wat was stunning. We were in Phnom Penh during a festival and being out on the streets was a fabulous and unexpected bonus as the coach couldn't get through the traffic to take us to our restaurant so we had to walk.

I am so pleased that we chose to do this tour. It was our first trip with Wendy Wu and we can't fault the organisation. The biggest issue was the food and I suppose having too much rather too little is the better way around!

I would recommend the tour but I do feel that you need to be quite fit in order to ensure you don't miss out on some of the sightseeing. A few members of the group had to opt out of some things either because there were too many steps or because they just needed some time out due to the fast pace and full itinerary.

I have been in a holiday in Cambodia and Vietnam through Wendy Wu at the beginning of Ocyober. It was an amazing holiday and both local guides: Tai in Cambodia and Thiep in Vietnam have been very knowledgeable and helpful. Everything was taken care of, from transport, visiting various places to hotel rooms and meals.

The trip was one in a lifetime as we visited so many places, learnt about the local culture and history. What I liked the most was doing activities with local people and learning about their life. Food was good maybe too much, especially in the evening.
Overall a fabulous trip!

What a fantastic trip. Every day brought new experiences in two fabulous countries. From boat trips in Ha Long bay and the Mekong Delta, cycling around paddy fields, hiking in the mountains and a Vespa ride around Ho Chi Minh City to wandering around Angkor Wat, BRILLIANT. Our guides in both countries were very knowledgeable, kind and helped the whole group in anyway they could.

The tour was arranged really well with excellent hotels and two very good guides, one in Cambodia one in Vietnam, it was pretty intense with a lot of travel, but all the time there were visits to some wonderful places, the veitnam guide in particular giving an insight into the history of the country.

This short cruise (4 days) was part of a 18 day tour of Cambodia and Vietnam. We really enjoyed the cruise. Nice attractive cabin. Excellent varied menu. Good trips visiting some neighbouring islands. Other fun activities like silk painting and cocktail competition snd yoga. Very attentive, polite considerate staff. Nice to be able to relax in pool as well. Very pleasant altogether.
